Laytonism
“Laytonism” and the Death of the Real NDP
Mr. Campbell: I have been a Tommy Douglas, Ed Broadbent kind of NDP for most of my life. I chose to be NDP because it stood for principles and ethics and socially responsible behavior. It has now departed from that tradition as the "Laytonites” have gained control and turned into a party without any policy but attack ads and power at any price. You have a lot to learn but you seem to have more ethics, better policies and intentions than the Laytonite Lunatic Fringe, which has driven me to break with the national Socialists who have taken my party and created a mockery of it. I recently tried to post this on several of the NEW NDP sites but without exception the post was cut. Gee I wonder why. The party like our local paper seems to have adopted the policy that they will “print anything as long as it agrees with the Laytonite propaganda”.
